PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

D L Howell & Associates was contracted by Habitat for Humanity to develop Subdivision and Site Plans for the East End Project consisting of 9 residential lots with an internal shared off street parking area.

The site was formerly owned by the Davis oil company and used for storage of their vehicles and in order to redevelop the site grants were made available from the State and County to clean up the site. DL Howell prepared plans and details for submission and approval from West Chester Borough, PADEP and the Conservation District.

D L Howell also conducted infiltration tests within the proposed parking area and designed an underground pipe storage system to maximize the development area. Throughout the project D L Howell worked extensively with the Borough staff and neighborhood organizations to develop this site and revitalize this section of town by extending the network of sidewalks and introducing street trees and architectural features to enhance the streetscape.
