Whitpain Township

Whitpain Township is one of the oldest townships in Montgomery County. Founded in 1701, today it is a vibrant community, which has been rated by Philadelphia Magazine as one of the best places in the Philadelphia suburbs to live. It is also the headquarters of the Unisys Corporation and Aetna, in addition to being the home to numerous smaller businesses and retail stores.

The Township is a successful mix of residential, commercial and rural development, with an emphasis on livable neighborhoods, passive and active recreation opportunities, respect for diversity, and commitment to each other.

The Wissahickon School District provides public education to the children from the communities of Whitpain Township, Lower Gwynedd Township, and Ambler Borough. The school district has consistently ranked as a superior district in the region.
